Who we help
How it works
Pick a time that works for your schedule and fill out new client forms in our secure portal. If you are not sure yet or have questions about if telehealth is right for you, ask for a free 15-minute consultation call to start.
Evaluations are 1 hour and completed virtually with your licensed SLP. During the evaluation, you will be able to share your concerns, complete testing and observations, and discuss recommendations while creating a personalized plan of care with you.
Schedule 30-minute telehealth sessions either on a weekly recurring basis, or one at a time. During these sessions, we will work on your goals, provide caregiver coaching and education to support carryover at home, and discuss additional activities to support outside of sessions.
Why virtual therapy?
Virtual therapy means working with your speech therapist at home, in your natural environment. It also means no commute and no waiting room.
Kids seen by video made gains similar to kids seen in person on most measures.

Questions
Still wondering about something? A free 15-minute call is a good place to ask.
You can book your evaluation online through our website and client portal. If you have questions first, you can schedule a free 15-minute consultation. The consultation is a short phone call to talk through your concerns and see if we are a good fit. The evaluation is a 1-hour video session that gives us a full picture of your needs and a plan for therapy.
Talking Jay is private pay only and does not accept insurance at this time. If you would like to seek out-of-network reimbursement, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance plan. We cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Yes. Research shows that speech therapy by video leads to results similar to in-person therapy for many children and adults. Because sessions happen at home, the skills your child practices carry over into everyday life. Read the study: in-person and telepractice outcomes compared (Musaji et al., 2021)
We are based in Lubbock, Texas, and every session is virtual. Whitney is licensed in Texas, Arizona, and Virginia. Right now we are accepting patients in Texas, and you must be physically located in Texas during each session.
Most families start with a 60-minute evaluation. If you'd rather talk first, book a free 15-minute call and ask us anything.
